Museum in A Box: Traveling Education Trunks

Are you interested in bringing a museum experience right to your classroom? Check out the Wayne County Historical Museum’s additional educational offering: Museum in a Box! Teachers can check-out one of four themed trunks: The First Peoples of Indiana, The Victorian Age through WWII, Ancient Egypt, and World Cultures.

Each trunk is packed with hands-on activities designed to help teachers meet Indiana State Standards while engaging students in exciting new ways. Trunk rentals are $20 each. This covers replenishing consumable materials. Museum in a Box is a fantastic alternative to an in-person tour and includes access to the museum’s new virtual tour.

The Museum in a Box Program was made possible by the Lilly Endowment Fund for Indiana Youth Programs Impacted by COVID-19.
