All memberships include the following:

*Excludes special ticketed events including: Signature Exhibit Grand Opening, Tales of the Departed & select special programs.

Individual $30.00: One Named adult + one Guest

Family $50.00: Two named adults + Free regular admission for up to four children/grandchildren
 
Family Plus $75.00: Two Named adults + two adult guests + up to six children/grandchildren

Office/Front Desk

WCHM’s Office Volunteers work in a clerical and/or visitors services capacity. Volunteers help staff prepare mailings and flyers, greet visitors, and other tasks as they arise.

Collections/Curatorial

WCHM’s Collections and Curatorial Volunteers play a vital role in preserving, researching, and caring for the museum’s extensive collection. They assist our staff with various tasks, including rehousing and moving artifacts, conducting research, and performing preventative conservation. Their work ensures that each piece is maintained in optimal condition, allowing us to safeguard and showcase our valuable historical and cultural assets for future generations. Volunteers in this role contribute to the meticulous care and management required to keep our collections both accessible and protected.

Exhibits & Exhibit Fabrication

WCHM’s Exhibits Volunteers play a crucial role in crafting engaging exhibit experiences for our visitors. They assist our staff with all aspects of exhibit creation, including design, development, installation, and deinstallation.

In addition, WCHM’s Exhibit Building Volunteers are specifically focused on constructing exhibit structures and interactive elements within the museum. They contribute to building by assembling the physical components that make our exhibits both functional and immersive.

Programs/Educational Outreach/Docents

WCHM’s Programs and Educational Outreach Volunteers work to help the museum prepare & facilitate K-12, family, and public Programs. Volunteers may also help at outreach events that educate the public about the museum and its educational offerings.

WCHM’s Docents lead our K-12 School Fieldtrip Tours. Docents are trained on our general tour and help suggest and research topics of interest for the tour guidebook.

Museum Beautification/Buildings & Grounds

WCHM’s Beautification & Buildings & Grounds Volunteers assist with maintaining both the interior and exterior of the museum. Their tasks may include landscaping, planting, weeding, painting, and general building maintenance, all of which contribute to keeping our museum and its surroundings inviting and beautiful.

Haunted Museum/Boo Crew

WCHM’s Haunted Museum and Boo Crew Volunteers help decorate the museum, its grounds, and assist with our annual Haunted Museum event weekends. We offer a variety of fun roles, including decorators, haunters, and activity facilitators, all designed to enhance the event experience.

Signature Program/Exhibit

WCHM’s Signature Program and Exhibit Volunteers work to help the museum install, develop, and research artifacts for our annual Signature Exhibit. Signature Program volunteers help set up and tear down for the event.

**Other specialized Volunteer opportunity examples include video/photography of programs, events, exhibits, historical first-person interpretation, demonstrations of historical activities etc.
